Introduction

We built BetterAgain to help people taking GLP-1 medications feel more supported, organized, and in control of their health.

Using BetterAgain means sharing some personal and health information with us — and we take that responsibility seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains:

  • What we collect
  • How we use it
  • Who we share it with (very few people)
  • Your rights and choices
  • How to contact us if you have questions

We've also created a separate Health Data Privacy Policy with extra details about how we handle sensitive health information.

Sign-In Options

Google Sign-In

  • If you choose "Sign in with Google," we request your name, email and unique Google identifier.
  • Used only to create and secure your BetterAgain account.
  • No access to Gmail, Drive, or other Google products.
  • You can revoke access anytime from your Google Account settings.

Apple Sign-In

  • If you choose "Sign in with Apple," we receive your email (or private relay email, if selected) and a unique Apple identifier.
  • Used only to create and secure your BetterAgain account.
  • You can manage or revoke access anytime in your Apple ID settings.

What We Collect (and Why)

Account Information

Google Sign-In email address (Android only) or Apple ID email (iOS, if you choose to sign in)

Why? To let you log in, sync your data, and recover your account across devices.

Health Data (Optional)

If you choose to track your health in BetterAgain, we collect:

  • GLP-1 injection records (date, site, dose, time)
  • Side effects & wellness notes
  • Weight, protein, water intake and calories
  • Progress photos (transformation or body images you upload)

Why? To help you stay organized and track your progress.

Device & Technical Info

Automatically collected:

  • Device type, OS version
  • IP address, time zone
  • Crash logs (to fix bugs)
  • Website visits (Google Analytics)

Payment Information

Handled by the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) via Adapty. We do not have access to your payment details.

Analytics & Attribution (non-health data only)

How We Use Data

We use your information to:

  • Help you track your treatment, lifestyle, and progress
  • Sync your account across devices when signed in

  • Send in-app announcements to improve your experience (not marketing emails)
  • Maintain app security, troubleshoot issues, and improve performance

We do not sell your data.

Where & How We Store Your Data

We store your information at Supabase.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, whether stored in Supabase, or with trusted analytics partners.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Until you delete your account in the app. Identifiable data is permanently deleted within 30 days after account deletion.

Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained for product improvement.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • Access your data
  • Export your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data
  • Restrict or object to certain uses
  • Withdraw consent at any time

BetterAgain is intended for users 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.

Our website uses basic cookies via Google Analytics to understand site traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll always post the latest version at betteragain.app/privacy.

If changes are significant, we'll notify you in-app. Continued use of BetterAgain after updates means you accept the revised terms.

This Health Data Privacy Policy supplements our main Privacy Policy and explains how we handle sensitive health information, as required by laws like Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's Consumer Health Data Privacy Law.

Health Data Storage

We store your health data securely and separately from your contact information. Health data is tied to a random account ID — not directly to your identity.

What Health Data We Collect

  • GLP-1 injection records (date, site, time, dosage)
  • Side effects and well-being notes
  • Weight, protein intake, calories, and water intake
  • Progress photos (transformation or body images you upload)

We collect this data when you enter it directly, or (with your permission) through integrations like Apple Health or Android Health Connect.

Why We Use Health Data

  • To provide BetterAgain's core functionality
  • To track your progress and support your treatment
  • To improve app reliability and security
  • To comply with legal obligations

We will never use your health data for advertising. We will never sell your health data.

Who We Share Health Data With

We may share health data with:

  • Trusted vendors (like Supabase) for secure storage and basic app functionality
  • Service providers (like customer support tools) if needed to resolve an issue

All vendors are required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes of providing their services.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your health data
  • Export your health data
  • Delete your health data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
